ByteDance, the technology company of China and TicTalk's parent company, is going to shut down two of its apps. The special thing is that both these apps are very popular in India. Viggo Video and Viggo Lite app are short video apps like TicTalk. In both these apps, users create videos through lip syncing. According to ByteDance, both these apps will be discontinued after October 2020. The company has announced the closure of the Vigo Video and Vigo Lite apps in "a farewell letter," although the company has not stated the reason for discontinuing these two apps. By the way, the company wants that users of both these apps go to Tittock.
Like Tittock, both these apps of BiteDance are very popular all over the world, although they have more number of users in India. While the number of Tittock users in India is 200 million, Vigo Video has 4 million monthly active users in India. Vigo Lite has 1.5 million users in India.
